A BIT ABOUT ME

Experienced Administrator

I have been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for almost 15 years. I currently operate a nursing home in Northern California but have managed nursing homes in New Hampshire, Wyoming, and Utah as well. I remember my first facility. I Had just finished up morning meeting and sat at my desk and thought, “this isn’t so hard!” Well since then I have been through 20+ state surveys, clawed my way through Immediate Jeopardy tags, Harm level tags, IDRs, Staffing unions, Staffing shortages, pandemics, abuse allegations, financial reviews, and on and on.

My almost 15 years in the industry has truly shaped my life into the Administrator I am today. At different times of my career, I had good mentors that helped me talk things through and keep me sane. But, for most of my career the saying, “it’s lonely at the top!” resignation with me ALL THE TIME. I often wished I had a mentor, a coach that would have guided me at the beginning g of my Career so guide me through what a I should be doing, what I should be looking at, and how to keep organized. Then as I grew my understanding of the HOW and WHY behind the job, someone to keep me energized, help me brainstorm ideas, and problem solve. Yes, we all have a regional vice president or someone we report to that can give us direction, but if you’re like me, you don’t want direction. You want non-judgmental advice, someone to run your crazy ideas by that will give you honest feedback. 

Let me be this person for you. I have been though A LOT over the past 15 years, I have mentored 10 A.I.T.’s over the past 10 years and 9 out of those 10 are still in the industry thriving at their current facility.
